Dr. Jonathan Parkinson is an environmental engineer with 25 years of work experience supporting urban authorities, utilities, national governments, and humanitarian agencies with strategic planning and programme design, feasibility studies, and project preparation. Jonathan has a PhD from Imperial College focusing on integrated, sustainable urban drainage, and he has extensive experience working on projects involving infrastructure planning, climate risk assessment, and resilient development. He focuses on the development of climate-resilient WASH systems and has project experience on projects focusing on adaptation and climate change mitigation involving assessment of and recommendations to curb GHG emissions.
